Analog servo controller TRM

The devices in the TRM series are analog servo controllers for permanently excited DC motors, designed for 19" rack-mounted systems. They operate in four-quadrant mode, meaning they can drive and brake the servomotor in both rotational directions.

Each controller is mounted on a 3U Eurocard, which also includes DC link rectification and a switching power supply for the electronics. This design enables cost-, space-, and energy-efficient solutions. The device can be supplied as a pure current controller, or—when supplemented with a plug-in module—as a speed controller with tachometer feedback or back-EMF / IxR regulation. Use of SMD technology and power MOSFETs ensures high efficiency and a compact footprint.

The devices are short-circuit and ground-fault resistant and provide all standard control, protection, and monitoring features. Nominal voltages of 24 V and 60 V, and nominal currents of 5 A and 7 A are available. For acceleration and braking, a 2.5× peak current is provided for approx. 3 seconds.
